1. A., Ashdod, 48
A. initially approached us seeking help in applying for benefits, as she is forced to constantly care for her daughter, whose doctors have not yet been able to diagnose her condition. Our social worker collected all the necessary documents and managed to secure rehabilitation treatment for the child at Tel Hashomer. This is a significant achievement, as without a diagnosis, the health fund does not cover treatment.
We also prepared and submitted all documents to the Ministry of Education to arrange home schooling for the girl. We will continue supporting A. on this difficult journey and will keep you updated.

2. S., 61, Eilat
S. has heart problems and is also a new immigrant. Due to lack of knowledge of the system, she repeatedly called emergency services, but her hospital visits did not result in hospitalization. As a result, she accumulated a large debt to MDA.
We collected all the necessary documents and submitted them to an MDA committee. As a result, half of the debt (3,000 ₪) was written off, and the remaining half was divided into four payments. Our social worker also explained when it is appropriate to call emergency services and when it is better to use a taxi.

A. was diagnosed with cancer and urgently needed a consultation with a professor, which was not covered by her health insurance. Due to her financial situation, the 2,000 ₪ consultation fee was unaffordable.
Our social worker contacted a large organization specializing in supporting oncology patients and secured a 3,000 ₪ grant for her, covering the consultation.

D. has a disability and struggles to live in a rented apartment. She needed help applying for protected housing (hostel/diur mugan).

P. is a young woman with multiple psychiatric diagnoses and a child on the autism spectrum. Despite seeing all necessary doctors, she was unable to obtain disability status due to bureaucracy.
We collected all documents and submitted them to Bituach Leumi. The committee is scheduled for March 16. We also arranged food assistance twice a week.
